શ્રી રામચંદ્ર કૃપાલુ ભજુ મન
શ્રી રામચંદ્ર કૃપાલુ ભજુ મન હરન ભવ ભાયા દારુનમ.
નવકંજ લોચન, કંજ મુખ, કર કંજ, પદ કંજરૂનમ.
અર્થઃ હે મન! કરુણાના સાગર, સંસારના દુ:ખો દૂર કરનાર (ભાવ ભય) એવા શ્રી રામચંદ્રજીની પૂજા કરો, જેમની પાસે નવા કમળની જેમ આંખો, મોં, હાથ અને પગ છે.
કંદર્પ અગનિત અમિત છવી, નવ નીલ નીરજ સુંદરમ.
પત પીત મનહુ તડિત રુચિ શુચિ નૌમિ જનક સુતાવરમ્।
અર્થ:
હું જાનકી (સીતા) ના વરને નમસ્કાર કરું છું, જે અસંખ્ય કામદેવોની સુંદરતા ધરાવે છે, જે વાદળી કમળની જેમ સુંદર છે, અને જે પીળા વસ્ત્રો ધારણ કરે છે, જે વીજળીની જેમ ચમકે છે.
ભજુ દીનબંધુ દિનેશ રાક્ષસ રાક્ષસ વંશ નિકંદનમ્.
રઘુનંદ આનંદકંદ કૌશલચંદ દશરથ નંદનમ.
અર્થઃ હે મન! ગરીબોના મિત્ર, સૂર્ય જેવા તેજસ્વી, રાક્ષસોનો નાશ કરનાર અને રઘુ કુળને આનંદ આપનાર અને કૌશલ દેશમાં ચંદ્ર જેવા તેજસ્વી એવા દશરથ નંદન શ્રી રામની પૂજા કરો.
હેડ મુગટ કુંડલ તિલક ચારુ ઉદારુ અંગ વિભૂષણમ.
આજાનુભુજ શર ચાપ ધર સંગ્રામ જિત ખરદુષણમ.
અર્થઃ જેના માથા પર મુગટ છે, કાનમાં બુટ્ટી છે અને કપાળ પર સુંદર તિલક છે, જેણે પોતાના શરીરના દરેક અંગ પર આભૂષણો ધારણ કર્યા છે. ભગવાન રામને યાદ કરો, જેમના હાથ ઘૂંટણ સુધી પહોંચે છે (અજાનુભુજ), જેઓ ધનુષ્ય અને બાણ ધરાવે છે અને જેઓ યુદ્ધમાં ખર-દુષણ જેવા રાક્ષસોને પરાજિત કરે છે.
ઇતિ વદતિ તુલસીદાસ શંકર શેષ મુનિ મન રંજનમ્।
મમ હૃદય કંજ નિવાસ કુરુ કામદિ ખલ દલ ગંજનમ્।
અર્થઃ તુલસીદાસજી કહે છે કે જે શિવ, શેષનાગ અને ઋષિઓના મનને પ્રસન્ન કરે છે, જે વાસના, ક્રોધ, લોભ વગેરે શત્રુઓનો નાશ કરે છે, હે રઘુનંદન! મારા હૃદયના કમળમાં તમે વાસ કરો.
દોહા: મન જહિ રચ્યો મિલ્હી સો, વર સહજ સુંદર સંવારો.
કરુણા, સમજણ, નમ્રતા, પ્રેમ અને સ્નેહ.
અર્થ: (જેઓ આના વખાણ કરે છે) તેમને એ જ સરળ સુંદર શ્યામ રંગનો વર (શ્રી રામ) મળે છે જેનાથી મન પ્રસન્ન થાય છે. તે (રામ) દયાનો ખજાનો છે, સર્વજ્ઞ છે અને તમારી નમ્રતા અને સ્નેહને જાણે છે.
અન્ય પ્રખ્યાત વખાણ:
ઓમ આપમપ હરતારામ દાતારમ સર્વ સંપદમ.
લોકાભિરામ શ્રી રામ ભૂયો ભૂયો નમામ્યહમ્ ।
અર્થ: હું શ્રી રામને વારંવાર પ્રણામ કરું છું, જે સર્વ વિપત્તિઓનો નાશ કરનાર, સર્વ સુખ અને સંપત્તિના દાતા અને ત્રણે લોકમાં સૌથી સુંદર છે.
